CLASSROOM RULES AND EXPECTATIONS
You are to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times when in my classroom. Mutual respect
for the teacher as well as for other students is expected! As young adults, I expect all of you to bring
enthusiasm and a good attitude to my class every day. Biology is one of the more difficult courses in high
school but, also one of the most interesting and thought provoking. If you follow instructions (the first
time given), study on a regular basis (30 minutes a day), and attend classes every day you should excel in
my class.

CONDUCT
Behavior is of great importance. At times we will be conducting experiments that require our full
attention and focus. SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY.....Other times, you will be required to pay
close attention to what is being said in lectures, discussions or out in the field (and I don't mean
the P.E. field...). Behavioral issues will not be part of my class! Year after year as the school
year progresses, my classes have become more like a team. I want you to want to be in my class
in a great learning environment. A place where you know you'll leave with more intellectually
than you arrived with every day.
